CC-5 Cleaner
CC-5 Cleaner is a liquid alkaline cleaner designed to remove all types of soils from metals. As a strong alkaline cleaner CC-5 will typically remove cutting oils, drawing and stamping compounds, coolant residues, buffing compounds, dirt and metal fines. The particular wetting agents used in it provide fast wetting and lead to the rapid loosening and dispersing of dirts and oils. In addition, when oily soils are being removed there will be a favorable characteristic of oil rejection after surface cleaning. This will allow oil-skimming equipment to remove oils from the cleaning systems.
CC-5 | Temperature |
3% to 5% | 160oF to 180o F |
CC-5 functions exceptionally well at lower temperatures also. Soak tanks might use 5% to 7% concentrations if agitation is low or cleaning loads heavy.
The alkalinity and active ingredients in CC-5 are blended to provide short-term rust protection. Follow up processes or the application of rust preventives should be anticipated after cleaning.

So Clean 632
It’s a liquid cleaner with high detergency which it can be used to clean steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and zinc die cast. So Clean 632 has been specifically designed to be effective at low temperatures, and be non-foaming for spray cleaning applications, or for use with air agitation.
So Clean 252
So Clean 252 is a heavy-duty, all-purpose, liquid alkaline cleaner designed to remove stubborn soils from ferrous metals in both soak and electro cleaning operations. As a strong alkaline cleaner, So Clean 252 will typically remove cutting oils, drawing and stamping compounds, coolant residues, buffing compounds, dirt and metal fines. So Clean 252 is low foaming and therefore can be used in both rack and barrel operations.
So Clean 229
So Clean 229 is a highly effective alkaline cleaner, formulated in liquid form for ease of additions, safety, and high suitability for automatic pump applications. The cleaner’s high alkalinity result in maximum effectiveness on steel, but should not be used on aluminum or zinc die cast. Brass or copper should be limited to less than 30 minutes immersion time.
So Clean 229 is effective at concentrations ranging from 2% to 6%, depending upon the amount of time available, temperature, and the severity of the soil. A temperature of 140-160F is suggested. This cleaner is low foaming for less drag-out from immersion tanks, and is well suited for spray cleaning applications. So Clean 229 is deliberately formulated without the normal use of chelating agents to minimize waste treatment problems with metals. An excellent rust inhibitor is included, however, so that parts can be packed wet without rusting as long as they have not been rinsed too thoroughly. So Clean 229 will keep 1% to 3% oil dissolved in the tank. For maximum cleaner life and parts cleanliness, the cleaner should be circulated through an oil trap, particularly when the tank has cooled off during shut down, etc. Any oil collected from the cool tank should be removed before tank is brought back up to heat.
At So Clean Solutions We Strive To Create Better, Safer And Cost Effective Cleaners For All Types Of Manufacturing.
